So, this one is an easy one! (I promise!)
They are pronounced the same way but are very different.
This of whole as being complete, or the entire thing. Look at the examples below.
The cake was whole, but someone took a slice out.
This chocolate bar is whole.
This is the whole pizza. Nobody has taken a slice. Yum! It looks good! 🙂
Now for hole. Here are the examples for the word hole.
This is a hole in the ground.
There is a hole in the wall.
There are holes in her jeans.
And there you have it! The difference between whole and hole! Easy peasy huh?
